Triple Glazing for a New Build Project
This project uses Weru Afino-tec aluminium-alternative windows, balcony doors and panoramic sliding doors. The front entrance is fitted with a Weru Atris-life bespoke aluminium entrance door, used to create a unique and contemporary statement entrance.

The specifications for this project were for high performance, energy efficient glazing units which would offer a modern aesthetic to this new build property.
The Weru Afino-tec range was the perfect solution for this project, offering hybrid triple glazing units with U-values as low as 0.87wmk2. The efficiency of the Afino-tec widows ensures heat is retained in the property, providing year round comfort for the home owner. The KlimaTherm technology used in these triple glazing units benefits from argon gas and aluminium spacer, protecting against the ingress of water vapour, minimising condensation build up in the units. The windows used for this project boast a 6-chamber profile system, which works in synergy with the high performance glass, ensuring the ultimate in energy efficiency.
Another important factor to consider when seeking high performance windows in the installation process. Even the best performing units can fail if they’re not correctly installed.
Weru’s installation team are fully accredited in complying with the latest RAL airtight installation standards. Using specialist air tight tapes and perimeter seals from Tremco Illbruck, ensures severe weather tightness but also breathable voids to eliminate any problems with moisture. This increases the thermal benefits of the property and offers high acoustic performance.
The Afino-tec window frames are made from the ultra-strong carbon fibre-like material FiproRau, which has an acrylic bonded coating providing a colourfast, long-wearing product. The frames are available in wide range of RAL colour options. This project showcases a black wood grain finish on both the exterior and internally, which contrasts beautifully with the white render and exposed brickwork detail.
These windows also benefit from a tilt & turn function, allowing secure ventilation along with inward opening sash to assist with easy cleaning of the glass panes.
Patio & Balcony Solutions
The rear elevation of this new build project has been fitted with Afino-tec panoramic sliding doors on the ground floor. This huge 7.2 x 2.4 metre lift & slide system allows uninterrupted views and arrived from the German Weru factory in one piece.
The first floor of the property benefits from a Juliette balcony fitted with tilt & slide Afino-tec balcony doors. These triple glazed doors are the perfect bedroom solution, complimenting the look of the panoramic sliding doors below and allowing secure ventilation, with the tilting sash function.
Atris-life Aluminium Entrance Door
The front of this property is fitted with an aluminium Atris-life door, which is framed with Afino-tec triple glazed windows, creating an attractive statement front entrance, allowing natural light to flood into the entrance hall. The bespoke Atris-life door is powder-coated and finished in the same black RAL colour as the window frames, giving the property a contemporary designer image.
In addition to the standard self-locking AutoLock feature, this entrance door also has extra security measures in place, with a key-less entry system. The high tech finger scan technology allows the homeowner access to the property, without the need for door keys. This is a great solution for busy households and up to 99 unique finger prints can be stored in memory.
