Tired Cottage Transformed into Eco-Home
Brookfield is an absolutely stunning property in the village of Ribchester. The customers, Mr and Mrs Andrews, challenged themselves to a big project by deciding to buy an old bungalow and do a complete re-build.
This was a massive development for the couple to take on, as they needed the full works done to the property; Weru Windows supplied and installed all the windows and Panoramic sliders for Mr and Mrs Andrews.
The customer’s needs were “low maintenance” and energy efficiency so they opted for our Afino Tec, triple glazed system. This system has ultra-low U values, meaning all the windows are very effective at keeping energy costs down.
Mr Andrews explains how he found Weru as his “greatest extravagance”. He says “The home is designed to make the most of views which have turned out to be better than expected. We were pleasantly surprised when we cut back the hedge on the south and east side of the house from seven feet to three feet to reveal the sheep grazing in the farm fields.”
The house has also been designed with an eye to the future, as the property is able to provide disabled access. The owners have thought about the design of their house very thoroughly and took many things into consideration.
